Wow! It's been a while since I put a CVS and Rite Aid trip on here. If you are planning on going this week, here are some possibilities for you.

At CVS, I got:

  1. 1 Accu-Check monitor on sale for $9.99 with $9.99 ECB
  2. 4 Dawn soap on sale for $.99 each (used 2 $1.00 2 cpns)
  3. 2 Colgate on sale for $2.99 with $2.00 ECB (used 2 $1.00 cpns)
  4. 1 Covergirl wetslicks on sale for $5.99 with $5.99 ECB
  5. 2 Glade scented oil plugins at $7.99 with $3.00 ECB on each (used B1G1 cpn)
  6. 2 Pantene shampoo/conditioner on sale 3/$9.99 with $2.00 ECB (used 2 B1G1 cpn)
  7. 2 Pantene hairsprays--worked with the deal above
  8. 2 Suave body wash on sale for $2.00 with $2.00 ECB (used 1 B1G1 cpn)
  9. 1 Suave deoderant that was needed for the deal above (used $.50 cpn)

I did this in 4 separate transactions in order to make good use of the $2/$10 CVS cpn. After all was said and done, I got $61.22 worth of stuff, used $24.99 in ECB's, got back $23.98 in ECB's, and paid $4.92. I didn't have too many small ECB's in order to get my cash lower. Oh well. Not too shabby. :)

Then at Rite Aid...

Here is what I got:

  1. 1 Ace reusuable cold pack on sale for $3.99 with $2.00 MIR (used $1.00 cpn)
  2. 1 Pantene shampoo on sale for $4.99 with $1.00 MIR (used $2.00 cpn and $2.00 Rite Aid cpn from ad)
  3. Electrasol dishwasher detergent on sale for $3.99 with $2.00 MIR (used $.50 cpn)
  4. Crest toothpaste on sale for $2.49 with $1.74 MIR (used $1.00 cpn)
  5. 1 Oral B stages toothbrush on sale for $2.99 with $2.00 MIR
  6. 1 L'Oreal revitalift anti-wrinkle on sale for $14.99 with $14.99 MIR (used $3.00 cpn)

I apid $25.95 in cash and will get back $23.73 after MIR. (Total then OOP will be $2.22) I was happy with that since I needed dishwasher detergent and could really use that reusable cold pack. It always seems like some one is falling and hurting themselves around here.

So there is my list for the week. As usual, it was fun hunting down the deals. :)

One of the girls' favorite thing to do...watch either music videos or games that Ambry plays on the computer.

I think it is so cute how they both squish together on the couch. :)

A visit from Nana and the girls. Not too sure where Kasey was while I was taking pics. She must have seen me with my camera and ran away. :)

Check out the goggles on Rosie!

Piper must have thought that Ambry wasn't wet enough. Either that, or she wanted to make her colder. That water was freezing that day!

You know you have gone overboard on being frugal when...

You worry(insert, freak right out) about how much money you just spent on a couple of new outfits for your webkinz. I mean, $110 for a cute little dress?!? That is just crazy!

For those of you who don't know what webkinz are, they are cute, little stuffed animals that you buy at the store and come with a code that you enter online. Then you can name your pet, decorate it's bedroom with everything from wallpaper to furniture. You need to buy food or garden (which I do, since obviously it is cheaper), feed your pet, dress your pet, take it to the doctor when it is sick, etc... Basically, it is like an online child that you need to take care of. And if you don't check in on it online every once in a while, it can die.

They definitely are lots of fun. And I don't know if I mentioned this or not, but these are supposed to be for children...but I do own one. Quite embarassing, maybe, but I don't care. It is fun!

Now I am off to try to rid myself of these tendencies to worry over fake online money. And to try to play more games so that I can make more money. It really is a viscious cycle...

Our last day at the campground. :( So sad. I did not want to leave. I tried to drag it out as long as I could. Piper and I rode over to the Farmer's Market that was only about a mile from the beach. They had some of the yummiest blueberries there. We had actually gone there on Wednesday and bought some. But as I said, I was trying to drag out our stay, so Piper and I walked around the pier and the market for a good hour or so.

Here she is stuffing the blueberries in her mouth as fast as she can...

Then laughing about it. :)

One last pic of the girls. Too bad Piper's eyes were closed.

Nana, Kasey, and Rosie also came out and visited us on Thursday and spent the night. And here are some pics from their visit. Kasey wanted to try to look like she was six feet tall. Too bad there are some grasses in the back ground. She might have really looked that tall!

Mom, you have to blow this pic up of you and Kasey. I LOVE it!

Miss Rosie.

And one of Caleb and I that Mom took.

Rosie and me.

Some pics on the beach while we were waiting for daddy to fire up the grill.

Daddy and his girls.

Mommy and her girls. Can you see how much Ambry is trying to not crack up laughing. Stubborn little thing when it comes to pics lately.

As you can see by Piper's expression, she was NOT impressed by all the seagulls.

A pic just for you, Nana. As you can see, no kids, no reason for the pic. Except that I thought it was cute. Piper's "baby" as she calls all things stuffed, sitting all alone.Piper pulling the wagon, chairs, and of course, her "baby" back up to our campsite.

Our little camping excursion to a state park...

So after that very busy weekend, we thought it would be nice to go on a little vacation. Of course, we planned it last minute...no big surprise there. The big surprise was actually getting into the state park. We managed to get 2 nights there, although we did have to move our site. Which wasn't too big a deal since we had borrowed a motorhome/camper thing from Caleb's uncle. We threw everything in and moved on to the next spot.

After the first night there, we realized we did not want to leave so soon. So we managed to get another site for Thursday night. Again, we had to move. I am sure you can see what is coming next. We didn't want to leave. So after walking back and forth between the ranger station and trying to get a site for Friday night, we finally got one! It only took about 6 tries. :) But we didn't care. 4 moves later made up for a perfect camping trip. So brace yourself for lots of pics. I won't overwhelm you with too many at first...you'll just get to see lots of them over the next few days. :)

Aunt KK came out to visit us on Wednesday night so she took the pic of us above (of course, taken right after showers.) Ambry took the one of us below. She did pretty good job. :)

Piper's face that she has been pulling for pics lately. Little stinker!

I think I have procrastinated long enough on putting up new pics. There were just so many to download from my camera that I became a little overwhelmed--over 130 pics! I mean, seriously, where to even begin?

So first up, here is a pic of Piper opening presents. Yes, quite late since her birthday was on the 7th. Oh well. She was so excited to get a new baby doll. And it makes sounds and moves all around too. Quite a sophisticated doll for a 2 year old. Thanks Nana, Poppi, Kasey, and Rosie!

Then on the 9th was Gerrit and Jen's wedding. Literally a whole day affair. Caleb left with Gerrit at 7:00 am and I had to be at the hair salon by 7:20. Which meant I also had to get the girls up and ready to go that early also. And remember everything that I would need for the ceremony which was at 11:00 am and about an hour drive away. So we loaded up the car with the girl's dresses, my dress (I was standing up in the wedding), shoes, makeup, you name it, we probably brought it. Here is a pic from the salon where we all had our hair done. Leah, I don't think you could have looked anymore excited than you do! :)
Once we all had our hair done, we headed up the ceremony site which was at a gorgeous house set way back from the road complete with pond, fountains, gazebo(which they got married under), carriage house...yeah, it was beautiful. Lots and lots of pics before ceremony...lots and lots. Thanks to Aunt KK for watching the girls, since Caleb was an usher, and I was a bridesmaid, both of us were needed for lots of pics.
Then there was a luncheon following the ceremony at the same site. I don't have any pics of that but here are some from the cake cutting. Check out the view in the back. You can see the gazebo way in the back where the ceremony was held.

Once that was all over with, it was kind of a mad hurry to get all of the tables rolled over to the garage and the chairs moved also for the rental company to pick up the next day. Cars were loaded down with flowers and leftover food to go the reception that they had planned for all their friends at night. Caleb, the girls, and I did not leave until about 4:00 from there. Mad dash home to lay the girls down for a teeny little nap since neither had slept in very long. (Oh I forgot to mention the rehearsal dinner the night before where the girls did not get picked up from Grandpa and Grandma's house until about 10:30). So we had some very tired, although quite surprisingly well behaved children, to get home for naps.

Once the babysitter arrived, it was over to the reception site(Elks Lodge). We made it there at about 6:00 and helped get everything set up there. Lots of fun...then helped pick up centerpieces and get food packed up and presents to our car...I think we finally got to bed at about 2:00...in the morning. A very long and exhausting day, but so worth it. It was a beautiful wedding.

Congratulations Gerrit and Jen! I am so happy that I have such a wonderful, awsome, and beautiful new sister. Welcome to the family. :)

Happy 2nd Birthday Piper!!!

Oh, how the time flies. You are growing so fast and learning more and more every day. I love your goofy personality. I love when you run to me when you're upset and then when you are safely by me yell "NO, NO, NO" at whoever offended you. I love when you wake up, wrap your arms around my neck, and give me a huge hug. I love how you say "Hello Momma" in your pretend grown up voice. I love it when you and Ambry talk silly nonsense that only you two would understand and then burst into laughter. I love when you cuddle by me. I love that you are a momma's girl.

I just love you!

One minute Piper is awake and smiling for the camera...and then when checked back on about 5 minutes later...

both are now sleeping. Too cute.
We will miss you when you leave, Uncle Gerrit! But we will be gaining a new Aunt so we are happy. You both had better come and visit often! Maybe not to see us but to at least get Piper to sleep. :)

Happy Birthday Jeff!!! And a bunch of pics now from a fun day at Poppi and Nana's house.
A fun filled day of boat rides, jumping off the dock by the dam, tubing, and riding on the wave runner. Lots of FUN! Here is Aunt KK and Rosie.
